Getting Started:

In the summer of 2020, amid widespread disruptions from COVID‑19, we found ourselves with extra time and a newfound passion for fishing. With bait supplies running low, a YouTube video on bait‑making inspired us. After some research, we gathered the essentials—one mold, one injector, a few pigments—and set up in a garage to craft our own soft plastics. What began as a simple experiment has since grown into a product line featuring 13 distinct baits and custom fishing rods, with ambitious plans for expansion.

At 608 Baits, we’re committed to building high-performance baits that anglers can rely on. We’re proud of what we’ve created, and even more excited about what’s ahead.

You can find 608 Baits at Starks Sport Shop and Gremore Marine in Prairie du Chien, WI and Ocooch Mountain General Store in Gays Mills WI. We are always looking for more places to sell 608 Baits!

Meet the Team:


  • Co-Owner

    I’m the co-owner of 608 Baits. I’m a current student at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota pursuing a degree in Accounting and Management. During my time at school, I play baseball and spend the rest of my time perfecting my craft of rod building to combine quality and performance in every rod.

    When not working or attending school I spend my free time on the water, in the tree stand, or with my family. Using the knowledge I learn on the water and applying it to 608 Baits is my true passion. Time on the water is my way to wind down and recharge for what is next to come.

    I’m the co-owner of 608 Baits. I’m a graduate of UW-Platteville with a degree in business. I’ve combined that education with my lifelong passion for fishing to help build a brand that puts quality, performance, and local pride first.

    When I’m not working behind the scenes at 608 Baits, you’ll usually find me on the water, chasing the next bite, or spending time with my family. Fishing has always been more than just a weekend hobby — it’s a way to relax, recharge, and connect with what matters.
